In My Dreams...Burberry Prorsum Metallic Trench Coat

I've been obsessing about this trench coat since last summer when it was shown in the SS Fashion Week in London! I haven't been able to get these images out of my head...
Now it has hit the stores and all I can do is daydream...

Teal and blue leather in a high shine metallic texture.

Totally my thing the leather and blues...
Available at Net-A-Porter for  €3,960. If only I could...

H&M's Spring Bohemia..

I really like the H&M Spring Lookbook with its modern and easy going bohemian style and can't wait for the stuff to hit the stores in March cause I just have to get my hands on a couple of things...
(Despite an unspoken promise I made to myself to try and avoid the never-ending H&M compulsion!) But that's not so easy if they keep coming up with pretty little things like the ones below...

The items below are my favorite pieces from the collection. The jacket is just awesome! The embellishments, the colors and embroidery remind me of traditional clothing made in the Siwa Oasis in my country Egypt.. If it wasn't all that expensive I think I would have definitely added it to my wardrobe. The cap is a good alternative instead and would spice up a few outfit ideas I have in mind.
I am also interested in the red blazer (I've recently discovered I can wear red! and started experimenting with it) but also very interested in the vest.... I still haven't decided what I'll splurge on...

Guess I'll have to update you on what I've settled for...

Long Break, New Start And The Latest Oniomania...

Anyone who stumbled upon this blog must have wondered why there hasn't been anything going on here since the end of August!
I didn't mean to neglect the blog or anything especially so shortly after starting but that was not avoidable... so here I go again after a long but much needed break from the online world, where I (an internet addict since the late 90s!) actually managed to boycott all activities involving turning a computer on.

I came to a point where I needed to work on my intensive internet consumption and prove to myself that it IS possible to live without being online (at least for a while) and that it wouldn't be all that bad... :))

And to my own surprise, I did manage to stay away for a couple of months AND I had absolutely no urge to constantly check Emails, Facebook, bloglovin and the numerous online shops that I would usually visit everyday.

Anyway, now I'm back in my natural environment, and it's time for a fresh start. And because I have been doing a crazy amount of shopping lately that I would have blogged about, here's an impression of some of the stuff I bought recently that I was able to check off my winter wish list...
Dark blue was and still is the dominant color this winter in my closet, along with whites and blacks..
And I can never get enough of Blacks&Whites!!!

Clockwise from above: Top- 81 Hours, Leather Jacket, Collar & B&W striped Pullover- Zara, Ankle Boots- Cheap Monday, Black booties- Zign, Pumps-H&M, Skirt- Monki, Sweatpants- Zoe Karssen.

This is a small glimpse into the purchases of the last couple of months! This is not all but I think it gives a good impression of the shopaholic in me...

But I must say that I was able to stick to buying things that one ends up wearing a lot and things that can be well combined with what I already have so I'm quite happy about my (rational) buying behavior ;)

Of course, every now and then I did indulge in a spontaneous thing or two that I couldn't resist, but hey that's the onio-maniac in me .. I can't (and don't want to) do anything about it :)

However, it's time to give the poor exhausted bank account a break...let's see how long I can control myself...I even started saving! Something that is usually very hard for me to stick to.

That's what I'm saving for... the Furla CANDY bag in white!!! I am crazy about white and cream colored things these days.

Will keep you updated how this saving thing is working out for me! :)

At the CLOSED & GRAZIA Shopping Event

A couple of days ago, my friend Michi and I were happy to attend the exclusive event hosted by the german designer jeans label CLOSED in cooperation with Grazia Magazine. Invited guests from Hamburg as well as a few Grazia readers like Michi and myself got the one-time opportunity to order one of the limited Batik Jeans edition that was introduced during the event.

The great thing about this limited Batik Edition is that each jeans gets batiked for each one individually. Each customer gets to choose the jeans, the color of the dye and its intensity and CLOSED batiks them by hand for you! This way you have a pair of unique jeans that you won't see on anyone else!

Michi fell in love and ordered a pair of corduroy jeans that will get burgundy red batik dye like the one you see in the pictures above!

And as for me...I found a few other hot pieces to fall in love in. For instance this gorgeous biker jacket. I love clothes made of mixed materials and this one here is a mix of cashmere with leather sleeves in a very flattering slim cut, but I didn't have €500 on me so I guess I'll have to pass...

This denim jacket with black leather sleeves also caught my attention!

Some more impressions from the autumn/winter collection..

Michi couldn't resist leaving without buying this..

I didn't buy anything that evening although I really liked the military green stretch jeans in the picture above. The fit was perfect, I loved the color and the cut but they didn't have my size so I guess I'll be passing by again.

Apart from that it was a fun to be there and my want list just got a tad bit longer :D

Copenhagen Fashion Week S/S 2013: By Malene Birger's Celebration

I have been crazy in love with 'By Malene Birger' since I first saw her collections a few years ago. Her designs always manage to make my heart skip a beat like right now when I finally got a good look at the amazing S/S 2013 collection.

'By Malene Birger' is known for classic elegant styles inspired from the 50's and 60's with a modern silhouette. The look is a a romantic feminine one with a sophisticated edge and great attention to details and yet so easy to wear in our day-to-day lives.
For me, she is indeed the Queen of Fashion in Copenhagen!

The collection, named The Celebration, is dedicated to next year's 10th anniversary and is a personal tribute from Malene Birger herself to her loyal friends, colleagues and customers everywhere. It is a reflection on ten years of awesomeness :)

Here are some of my favorite looks from the runway. Impressive prints and patterns, bold candy colors and lots of pinks mixed with accessories & shoes in zebra prints. I can't wait to get my hands on some of these..

The pink hearts, a highlight in this collection, are printed on t-shirts, featured on accessories and used as the inside detail on jackets, dresses and shoes. Pink was all over her first collection and is a personal favorite of Birger.

Also lots of fresh and clear whites as well as pretty and romantic pastels. Hello next spring!

So, are you in love yet??
